The Reformer's Firebrand

*-{The New Canadian Colonist's Advocate }-* A commentary of fiery reformist sentiment from the spirit of it's 210 year old Canadian ghost publisher patron. This will be a home to the new wave of anti-partisan advocacy for defeating Canada's second "family compact" and reinstallation of responsible governance in this 21st century new Canadian democratic dominion.

You can Judge a PM by his friends

I note with some stifled outrage that this age and Generation of Canadians are burdened with their own “family compact” as well. The difference seems that in my day people were not able to vote them out of power as they are today. I see the nepotistic scouge of this era remains a cartel of insiders who use the Canadian state to further their own interests.

Does it not seem a tad unseemly to you people at all that 4 Prime Ministers ( including the current one) are intimately connected to international business magnets and swindle brokering gadflys like this Desmarais and Moe Strong fellow. It seems that the main Players in the Iraqi oil for food scandal are Canadians ( Strong and Desmarais) who have close business connections to the last two Liberal Prime Ministers….I see you can always judge a man by the company he keeps and your PM Martin would appear linear in his choice of associating with swindlers.

http://www.nysun.com/article/13025

The Canadian tycoon and self-styled socialist who's currently embroiled in a scandal
relating to the United Nations, Maurice Strong, has created a worldwide network
of influential people whom he's enlisted in the cause of environmentalism and
"sustainable development" - a phrase he says he coined to denote ecological
security, economic progress, and social justice.

A phrase frequently used in connection with Mr. Strong is "international man of mystery,"
and he has long occupied that zone where personal business interests are made to
mesh with public policy issues.

His leftist ideology, his political associations, and his platform for nearly four decades at the United Nations have enabled Mr. Strong to collaborate with companies and politicians he drew
into the U.N. ambit. Some of those who have tracked Mr. Strong's activities have called him "Chairman Mo," or "Max" - as in "maximum leader."

One member of that network is Prime Minister Martin, a liberal currently involved in a
financial scandal in Canada.

Mr. Martin has taken to using a favorite Strong term, "global equalization," a call for imposing global taxes on wealthy nations and distributing more money to poor countries under the auspices of the United Nations. A few days ago, the political analyst Paul Foster,
writing in Canada's National Post, asked: "Where, for example, might Mr. Martin
have come up with the idea for 'global equalization,' which amounts to the
fulfillment of The Communist Manifesto?"

Well before Mr. Martin became prime minister, he invested in a Strong company, Cordex Petroleums, the same enterprise that attracted $1 million from the North Korea-born Tongsun Park, a businessman who has been charged by federal authorities with bribing U.N.
officials in the Iraq oil-for-food scandal. Mr. Martin's investment came through a holding company he controlled, the CSL Group Incorporated, according to Mr. Strong's disclosures.

The Article above came from an American paper. It should have been front page in a Canadian paper….but it was not. It seems that the vulgar corporate patron insiders connections in Canada’s PMO are becoming far wider knowledge in the US than they are in Canada…as a matter of fact most Canadians do not realize who Strong is or who this Desmarais Powercor cartel is. Apparently we don’t or can’t talk openly about the incestuous connections out leaders have with international swindlers and insider profiteers. They should… it has employed the last 4 of their Prime Ministers and it enriches itself with tax payers money.

I will be investigating their Cartel in future posts and exposing, network and the damage they have done to Canada and Canadians.

The Family Compact, vote/poll brokering and failed nations.

I awake this AM to some news that strikes close to my very being. Having some experience of the power of the press and how it can be the antiseptic to cure political corruption, I see that in this age the tables have turned. In my day, the people had the press and the family compact had the power of denial and bureaucratic cover up. It seems in this age the inverse is true; the new family compact (my host calls it the Liberal patronage cartel) has the press and the people have the option of denial.

I see that your disgraced PM Martin, engaged in a week of desperately prostituting himself in a series of degrading national spectacles. Further, he prostituted a weak opposition party and now, apparently, the citizenry, with the promise of opening the treasury to their own personal enrichment. Is principle for sale in modern Canada? Apparently so, as this degenerate government is now popular enough to win an election…..at least according to one questionable poll from a media client that is openly partisan. I also remind Canadians that their Auditor general, Mrs. Fraser, exposed in one of her damning audits that this current Liberal cartel had misappropriated public funds to plant concocted polls in Quebec prior to the foiled referendum in lower Canada.

I do not envy you modern Canadians, you must have a horrible time deciphering political realities in the sea of partisan disinformation which the modern Canadian media has become. Those Canadians who still hold out hope for the removal of corruption in government have my deepest sympathies….for you must watch as a large block of your countrymen will prostitute their ballot to a corrupt political brokerage party. Being bought with one’s own money seems to be a badge of honor among many less civilly stalwart Canadians.

From my investigations of the street level public opinion as expressed in the many radio phone shows and web straw polls, Mr. Martin is due for a fall in spite of the best efforts of his co-opted media friends to prevent it. One would never know the realities of public opinion were one to rely on the very narrow partisan picture painted by patron hired pollsters and media clients.

I can see now that the Canadian media will be the key player in this election. Canadians ( at least the minority that still vote) seem to live and die by what they read in a plethora of partisan media. It will be the acceptance or rejection by that media of the Liberal party record of government corruption and fraudulent influence brokering and the certain appearance of the liberal party’s unethical campaign tricks and smears that will be on trial this election.

Canada’s 4th estate should not judge lest they be judged….supporting a corrupt regime will ultimately result in a civil crisis.

Canada’s citizenry should not hold their ballot up for bid by the party that will pay the most ( with their money ) for it. Those that broker power this way will be the undoing of your nation.

A nation that will sell out their own best civil interests to a regime that brokers publicly funded corruption are a failed nation. Revolution cannot save it, political reform can’t help it and hollow patriotism cannot medicate it…….for all these things are based in unyielding higher principles ( both personal and civil). When the corruption at the top percolates down to the lowest level of society, that society is doomed.

Contrary to the insincere federalist invective spewed by your debauched government, Canada would appear not to have as much a unity crisis as a crisis of citizenship.

1st Entry:

Jupiter’s thunder, this new internet streaming that my host used is indeed a wondrous thing. Today I Heard on Mr. Lowell Green’s Ottawa talk show a very sensible senator in the upper chamber by the name of Senator Anne Cools. She spoke passionately about how the parliamentary function of the lower house is being subverted by the crass self-interest of this Prime Minister Martin fellow. She seems to be accurate in her observations that he cares more for preserving his powers of appointment in his last days than he does doing government business right.... so he is clinging, tediously, to his damaged and corruption plagued government with vote buying with the weakest party. This man seems to come from an environment where open bribery is a political tool that is more desirous than open ethical persuasion. Judging by the veritable tidal wave of information from the likes of party camp followers like Messer’s Guite’, Coffin, Kinsella, Brault, Colbeil, Bedard and others…..Perhaps Mr. Martin would not be in the troubles he has now had he rejected the political bribe for passionate statesmanship when he entered politics. A man wears the chains of his own demise.

On a secondary entry, today My host was able to get the latest news from the Motherland ( UK) by supplying me an E-copy of the Guardian. There is a very witty and informed young bard working there by the name of Mark Steyn, who opines on the state of global economics thusly
:

Immediately after his retirement, the now forgotten Canadian
swinger Pierre Trudeau took his sons to Siberia because that was ‘where the future is being built’. Any future being built in the outlying parts of Russia belongs to Muslims and Chinese in need of Lebensraum, and drug cartels and terrorist networks eager to take advantage of remote areas in a state lacking sufficient reliable manpower to police its borders.

That’s why, even as an unimaginative apparatchik pining for the old days, President Putin is nevertheless very cautious about offending the
Americans.

The Chinese must look at Russia’s diseased kleptocracy and think,‘There but for the grace of Whoever....’ So far, Beijing’s strategy of economic
liberalisation without political liberalisation is working out a lot better
than the Moscow model. Instead of all this guff about the blessings of
liberty, Deng Xiaoping cut to the chase and announced: ‘To get rich is
glorious.’ And, for city dwellers whose income increased 14-fold in the two decades after Deng told ’em to go for it, things have worked out swell.

It does an old man good to see the Yanks have done so well in spreading their concept of freedom though laissez faire capitalism…..the pragmatic sense of making the most number of your citizens prosperous as possible to avoid civil strife was not wasted on even the most dogmatic proponents of the errant ideals of that accursed Marx fellow. There is a lesson here for my fellow Colonists in the Canadas. As I understand, the last decade or so we have labored under a political regime that was not only corrupt and sapping the productivity of it’s citizens but also half hearted communists in their ideas of market control and corporate government cronyism ( as the old Russia and China were)

I see this statistics for economic growth released today by a local bank:

Economic growth projections:

Canada: 1.4% to 1.7%
US: 3.8% to 4.4%
Europe: 1.6% to 1,9%
China: 12% to 14%

It seems to this observer there is a direct link between rejecting the corruption and bureaucratic tyranny of statist socialism and the prosperity level potential of a nation.

Rebirth

Good day my fellow Upper Canadian colonists...er...uh I mean citizens.

This is my initial journal entry as a familiar of the spirit of William Lyon Mackenzie. The phantom of the grand old Canadian patriarch of reform, representative and civilly responsible government, has been disturbed and walks in troubled concern among us. He seeks a medium to relay his passions for the troubled state of his beloved nation. I will provide that outlet.

Perhaps a little explanation is in order to clear any confusion or defray misguided mysticism blemishing the validity and genuine passions of my messaging.

It has been a month of troubled thought and disturbed sleep for me. I see the highest civil institution in our nation revealed to be the private toy of a political/corporate patronage cartel that broker influence for power and personal profit. The civilly responsible Canadian in my soul was unsettled. This must have been very disturbing to entities other than my conscious self as I started getting fiery dialogues on corrupt political cabals ( or family compacts as the voice put it) in my restless dreaming. It was like being lectured, in a semi conscious state, by a prototype Canadian who was as outraged as I about the corrupt and nepotistic nature of our devolved government.

After several nights like this I discovered these phantom somnambulant thundering lectures haunting my waking consciousness. Each one ended with a spiritual plea to “go to print” and
"reach the people"……followed by a stern warning to avoid having my “printing molly thrown into the bay by the compact”.

What can I make of it? I started looking in my collection of historic Canadiana and almost instinctively pulled my copies of “The Firebrand” by Kilbourn and “The Colonial Advocate” by Raible. Glancing through them I was startled by the similarity in rhetoric between W.L Mackenzie’s original writing and the nocturnal lectures I was experiencing…perhaps it was a form of spiritual channeling (if you believe in that sort of thing) …or perhaps it was my subconscious Canadian civil outrage speaking to me in parallel passions to those of the father of Canadian reform.

At any rate, the directive was clear: “ go to the people"….."expose the family compact" ( political/corporate cartel) "which feeds off Canadian’s freedoms, productivity and meritless consent of governance”.

This blog will attempt to inform Canadians to the subverting machinations of their democratic powers by political “fixing” and Cronyism by the elite political cliques operating in our nation. We hope to spotlight the sapping both our taxes and freedoms. We will do so through the perspective of the prototype Canadian liberal reformer who demanded ethical, civilly responsible representation rather than incestuous nepotism in public policy and governing.

Today William Lyon Mackenzie redux is born and the new Colonial advocate will be a firebrand against political corruption in Canada.
