The Reformer's Firebrand

*-{The New Canadian Colonist's Advocate }-* A commentary of fiery reformist sentiment from the spirit of it's 210 year old Canadian ghost publisher patron. This will be a home to the new wave of anti-partisan advocacy for defeating Canada's second "family compact" and reinstallation of responsible governance in this 21st century new Canadian democratic dominion.

Hey Paul! Where's the election you promised?

Significant in today's headlines is the fact that our local low rent socialist street-walker, Jack Layton, has announced he will "consider" not propping up a corrupt federal regime (which has lost the moral authority and constitutional parliamentary confidence to govern) because the payola for his support was not sufficient. Funny, from my historical perspective the cheapest buy on the market is a commie politician...Layton is no different ....perhaps real socialists Like Ed Broadbent reminded his young leader that civilly responsible principle, accountable representative government and parliamentary ethical propriety take precedent over Jack's crass partisan pandering and payola soliciting.

In any event, why are we even having this conversation? Why is PM Dithers back on the spin bandwagon to avoid a fall election. Wasn't this the lame duck Kleptocrat who pleaded with us to "wait for Gomery" and he would call an election 30 days after the release of the commission? Well Paulie, Gomery is finished, the report is in our hands and you are still a manipulating belly-crawling skank who will not keep promises.

PAUL, CALL THE ELECTION!

Or continue to prove why you have no moral authority to even sit in Parliament.

No matter the out come of this election, whether it be a minority Liberal or CPC government or a majority Liberal or CPC government...ANY reappearance of the core of this federal Liberal regime as a result of the irresponsible voters of Central Canada will result in a confederal and constitutional crisis. The regions who vote to oust a criminal and corrupt federal regime will NOT accept them as a government or opposition...they are suspects in a vast criminal conspiracy and they should be facing investigation , not re-election!

Had this federal liberal political cartel any semblence of parliamentary responsibility or "Canadian values" they would have had their leaders and all Cretien era MPs step down to be replaced by new candidates for the public to assess until this scandal was thoroughly investigated and charges laid or exonerations issued.

But "ethics" is not in the Martinista lexicon...unless it's used as a tawdry toss off statement of situational values used to dupe the voters who they have so much contempt for.

SO boys and girls, today's question is:

Why, has a PM who has repeatedly stated he want's to be "responsible" for this scandal, to call an election as soon as Gomery has filed his findings, not done what he has promised nor done the traditional executive response to scandal this large and stood down as PM and called an election sooner than Gomery?

We all know the answer to this....it's because Liberal political cartel "ethics", values" and all other lofty ideals amout to one thing these days; retaining power for power's sake alone and doing ANYTHING ( including crimes) to acheive that end. Canadians have been cheated of a responsible, representative government for the past decade and it appears this trend will continue if Central Canada's demented voter is duped into supporting the party of political perversion one again.

The Liberals probably think "Ethics" is a riding in South Western Ontario.

Values? .. LIEberals don't have values do they?... not only that, gomery was restricted in avery area that might even shine a light on that socialist pig Martin. Technically, if the opposition takes them down, there still at tyhe mercy of when Martin calls the election for, and that's only if he respects democracy, and we all know the answer to that one.

I had blogdom's prime appologist for all things liberal ( and probably the most partisan reactionary on the Canadian blogesphere) Zorpheous, leave commentary here where he attempted to "interpret" exactly what Martin "meant" when he "promised" an election and a cure for the "democratic deficit"...the gist of the comment was that we are wrong to expect Martin to do the right thing... to come up to our ethical expectations...that perhaps we are too rough on him, particularly when we do not "interpret" what he says though a liberalese filter which allows him to not keep his word.......needless to say I delete all such partisan talking point spin as so much wasted bandwidth...no rational or ethical Canadian can make excuses or rationalize the level of crass deception and corruption in the Federal liberal regime. I consider all attempts to be insane partisanism and of course, As per the promise on the header to this blog, this site will remain free of such truth-killing partisan rhetoric.

WLM,

From Martin speech on April 15, 2005. You remember to one, where addressed the nation...

I quote

"For that reason, I commit to you tonight that I will call a general election within 30 days of the publication of the commission’s final report and recommendations. Let Judge Gomery do his work. Let the facts come out. And then the people of Canada will have their say."

Sorry, but that is what he said. Zero spin. But I still agree with you that the election should be called now.

So tell me WLM, who is partisan reactionary now?

zorpheous - your missing the key word in that statement "call". Now that word is open to interprutation, he can actually "call" that we will go to an election six months from now. There is no definite date intended in the statement.

What gets me is the hogwash that Canadians dont want an election during Christmas. If it would get these crooks out of government, I would go and vote Christmas morning at four oclock.

Mike, how about Boxing Day instead? Christmas is really about spending time with family and friends.

Mike,

I don't think they have polls open at that time in morning, LOL. Of course you could always use one of those AWOL ballets.

Still, I don't think too many Canadians would be really keen on an election Dec 25th.

Can you just imagine the howling from everyone is Martin set that as date, come get real. If it gets dropped tomorrow the earliest we could have it would be about mid Dec. Barring that we are realistically looking at mid January. Either would be fine with me.

Bill,
With Martin's buddy Raymond Garneau advising Martin's buddy Gomery on the second report, that report will also be a bunch of Liberal baffelegab like Part 1.You can buy anything if you have the right connections and enough money.(ours)

Zorph: I let you rattle on on my blog unchallenged for a reason...you did not disappoint. Give a Liberal zealot enough time and we see the following:
A) circular argument on the initial issue
B) Arrogance
C) Name calluing and infantile taunting
D) uncivil/belligerent behaviour ( stems from the pissant elitist's entitlement gene that allows you to believe others private property is yours to spew your so-called emlightened partisan drivel to the soiled plebians)Thus the incivility of univited intrusion of my blog then insulting myself and my guests...in form for your type.

I deleted any commentary that is partisan semantics , not truthful, irrational or insulting. Want a snappy comeback?...the key theme in this post was "why are we even having this conversation" ( about an election call) Martin should have gone to the GG for resolution or dissolution of parliament in the spring when he lost house confidence in committee and in 2 house votes...one of which was to add to a committee report that the current government step down. Martin is a crook and a liar and a disaster as a PM. His ethics ( as well as Chretien's) have despoiled the PM's office.

Selective truths are your domain Zorph and from here on in don't bother soiling my blog with your inbred partisan gibbering and personal insults....this tawdy crap is standard debating procedure with the currewnt corrupted swine that have occupied Federal office, we get enough partisan low lifes in our Canadian experience these days . We don't need it here...this is a spin free zone.
