The Reformer's Firebrand

*-{The New Canadian Colonist's Advocate }-* A commentary of fiery reformist sentiment from the spirit of it's 210 year old Canadian ghost publisher patron. This will be a home to the new wave of anti-partisan advocacy for defeating Canada's second "family compact" and reinstallation of responsible governance in this 21st century new Canadian democratic dominion.

Good luck!
Be sure to aim for the vitals Heart, Lung just behind the foreleg.

Center of mass figure 11 target :)

It makes me sick when supposed hunters aim for the head?

Haven't had a lung shot on a Pheasant for years NL ;-) But I am good enough to shoot their head off on a flying pass shot at 25 yrds or better ;-)

The Birds were easy to pot yesterday and this new pup was as game as they come in busting the Huns into the air ( he's still busting birds instead if pointing)....problem is he hasn't got his field smarts yet( 31/2 months old) and he's busting birds out at 45-50 yards from me so my upland shooting this year is like shooting geese at range....I have left the Browning Over under field gun and the light field upland loads at home and I carried the "sky buster" goose gun with Magnum 5s and 4s to nail partridge that broke at 50 yards and were flying away....you only have about 1 quick shot ( even with the goose gun) before they are out of kill range. Next week I'll hunt with a buddy and have him put the Pup on a check cord to keep the shooting in closer to 15-20 yards or so.

I guess this pup is living up to his namesake...the sire's mane was "rooster booster" ;-)

"Hope you bag a few Liberals while your at it Bill!"

DT and I have talk endlessly sbout the worth of Liberatus Canadianus as a species....I maintain they are worse than a pest species like crows, coyotes or gophers...they are actually toxic....but DT maintains they give some sport...personally I'd rather fill the freezer with something useful....there is still no known use for a liberal ;-)

LOL ok maybe a heart lung shot would be expecting a but much!

I went hunting grouse with my kids one time and I shot this grouse that was in front of a tree so he got shot up pretty bad (Goose Gun).

So I decided to have my oldest daughter skin clean the grouse.
She stood on its wings and started pulling on the legs. OOPS one wing breaks off! Keep going so she does and skins the bird perfectly.

Think I may have scared her for life though LOL.
At least she doesn't think her food comes from styrofoam trays!

MMM LIE-beral meat! Gut shot would be most appropriate in their case.

If anyone is confused as to what Libratas Americanna is, check out:

For cooking instruction, I recommended boiling with a rock. When done, toss out the rock and water and Libratas; and go for KFC.
