Media watchdog takes on new meaning

Seems Peter Kent ( a long term TV Journalist and small "c" conservative) has called upon Professionals outside the mainstream media to keep an eye on the partisan bias in reporting during this coming election.
Media bias effecting elections may be common knowledge to many of us who follow the political arena but this open acknowledgement from Academia that there is need for professional 3rd party monitoring of the Canadian media is something of a revelation and vindication…particularly to those who had charged the media with bias and were attacked by the media for questioning their professionalism .
Having witnessed the abysmal conduct of the MSM in the 2000 election where national issues and the record of a grossly corrupt government were eclipsed by a concerted media attack on one candidates religious orientation was nothing short of diseased.
I applaud Kent if he can get someone to clean up the liberal-partisan bias in our media and return it to balance….but I won’t hold my breath.

One problem Bill: how do you return the media to balance in international news, when it depends on Reuters and AP for so much of its coverage. Both Rooters and AssPoo are some of the most pro-left agencies going. I bet they'd even give NYT a run for their money.
I don't care about the rest of the world....I'm Canadian and I'm only concerned with keeping this place from sharing the corrupt despotism that exists in most of the world.
That may sound "shallow" to the moonbat snivellers who want to "save the world", but it is neglect of our own nation that has allowed the tyranny of single party statism to poison our freedom and democracy this far.
A big carrier of that poison is the media who are nothing more than partisan whores for the single party state.
I don't think asking for accuracy and balance on news and the domestic public dialectic is asking for massive upheaval in the culture.
With balance comes the opportunity for many people who take all their cues from a one sided media to think outside the box for once....see another side presented acurately and rationally....instead of the reflexive hysteria that the current liberal media bias sells as "news".
Essentially all we need is that 10% soft liberal vote who are always guided by the bias in the media to think about a change in government as a good thing for democracy and the state....and the Libranos are history....as long as Harper doesn't do anything drastic the first term, he will win with a majority the second term and that's when we strike to disassemble the federal sovietisn with the repeal of a dozen unconstitutional acts.....Harper can totally disempower the fed soviet and gut their control mechanisms without even going near these superficial lefty sacred cows of abortion or gay sex.

ny act that guts provincial jurisdiction.

Paulie's first administration was almost exclusively devoted to effectively rendering irrelevant the institution of marriage with the SS thing.
The other day the left showed its true colors. They obviously think it's ok for adults to have sex with children, don't they?
