The Reformer's Firebrand

*-{The New Canadian Colonist's Advocate }-* A commentary of fiery reformist sentiment from the spirit of it's 210 year old Canadian ghost publisher patron. This will be a home to the new wave of anti-partisan advocacy for defeating Canada's second "family compact" and reinstallation of responsible governance in this 21st century new Canadian democratic dominion.

Hey ABF, what the heck happened to the project Albeta board? I had some words with some socialist who was trolling and spreading disinformation there and I was banned and had my comments ( legally sound argument/info) deleted by some socialist named Jerry Fortain. Is there some NDP partisan running this board now? This is the type of anti- free speach caren act I would expect from a socialist...they are liniarly amoral and unethical.

If this is fact ( PA being controlled by NDP partisans for the propagation of socialist disinformation) we should black list it with the Alberta bloggers community.

I left a message on that thread to see what happened, and will see what they say. If Jerry did do this, this could be a bad issue for them. Mike won't be impressed at all, and if it bears out to be true, they'll probably be a lot of fireworks, including from me. I'm just a nobody, but a lot of traffic flows back and forth between us.

You know more about the constitutional issues then anyone I know dammit. The left slant from that one guy, posing as some kind of Albertan, really has become annoying, and I think there traffic is suffering as a result.

Hey Bill: Thanks for the gifts. I was hoping for a genuine libratas headmount for my fireplace... but this'll do. Cheers!

Bill, have received a response back from Mike. Don't know how to email you, so I'll post it here:

wlyonmackenzie was absolutely not banned nor censored in any way. The website has been really wonky the last few days - we've received several
emails from the web hosting server (Canaca) saying that we've reached critical consumption limit, even though we're nowhere near the limit.

Anyway, it has affected our databases -unfortunately the forum database has lost several posts, including all those from Dec. 22, as well as newly registered users, etc. For now, I've upgraded the forum database and we're backing it up more regularly. We're going to get this issue straightened out with Canaca.

I did see wlyonmackenzie's thread about him being censored (by Jerry J. Fortin, whom he suspected of being a moderator). But I think that got thread deleted too - which makes it seem very suspicious that we're censoring, but we're definitely not. Only Cory Gray and myself (and sometimes Cory Morgan)
moderate the forum - no one else - and we pretty much never censor anything. Both of us appreciate wlyonmackenzie's posts very much - he certainly never has to suspect us.

I hope that clears things up. Thanks for bringing up the issue!

Bill - don't have your email address but if you want to get a hold of Mike use " Mike at ProjectAlberta.com" . My address is on the side bar near the bottom. You'll see a panel called banner advertising and if you click on it, it brings up the email. I've encoded it so the spambots can't pick it up.
