Huxley's Nanny state Utopia meets Orwell's nightmare
We were just talking about our kids being indoctrinated when this shows up:
Shades of George Orwell
Other tidbits where our Nanny state shows us the iron jack boot beneath the lace petticoat are
Here and here
It's been an exciting day for watching the twisted realities of our neurotic big brother at work.

Just read your comments over at Kate's... brilliant! When I tell people that their beloved 'Charter' ain't all it's cracked up to be, I invariably get that 'blank' look coupled with the predictable, "But now our rights are guaranteed..." Sheesh - talk about a path that's uphill in both directions.
Willy: We discussed the other day about taking our schools back. Well, I've contacted my school division to let them know that political rants by teachers, without balance and perspective, are way out of line. I bet that if parents did this on a regulary basis, teachers would let up on the Che-commi crap.

Shock and awe in the Lemming constituency as they come to grips with the truth about their feudal subservience to the single party state, eh?
I use the term Charter "Feudalism" because it is an apt descriptor of the status of the individual in relation to the state as his liege lord. This is stated clearly in section one of the charter and been demonstrated scores of times since 1982....all your rights are subject to truncation, repeal or dismissal at the whim of 9 unelected, unaccountable political elites who operate outside the scope of parliament. These are the lords of your "feudal" rights.
Prior to the 1982 charter our basic rights of citizenship were inviolable by the state....and we had property rights...which we no longer have...ofcourse no one in a feudalist communist state can own his own property...it belongs to the state.
So informing a lemming the charter is not a blue print for utopai elicits shock, awe, and denial..Pfffft I bet most of them have never read the meagre 61 paragraphs of the charter, let alone have a grasp on what it means.
Ask an American school kid what's in his constitution and he can tell you...then ask a Canadian kid...hell ask his parents...same answer from them...a blank stare.
Again what can one say about the democratic/civil health of a nation where most have no idea what their civil rights are and the fundamental legal and governing principles of their nation?
By the way Bill: YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED!
